The Bosch Grounds (Das Bosch-Areal)
| An ideal connection between work and recreation
|
The Past
| At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Bosch grounds were built for production operations for the world-renowned company, which is known as the Robert Bosch GmbH today, and was used until the middle of the sixties. After this, the state of Baden-Württemberg acquired this property and established various state agencies here.
At the beginning of the nineties an idea competition was initiated. The alternatives resulting from this ranged from tearing down the buildings and construction of new buildings to the complete preservation.
The concept, which was implemented from 1998 to 2001, led to a unique flair that is exhibited by the Bosch grounds today along with the continued preservation of the historical buildings.

The Present
| Today, the grounds, which encompass 1.4 hectares and a great tradition, form the interface between the inner city and the western part of the city of Stuttgart. In the direct vicinity, there is a cultural and conference center, called the Song Hall (Liederhalle), the university campus and the Maritim Hotel.
The Bosch grounds are distinguished by a mix of retail stores, office use, fitness center, apartments, film and event areas and gastronomy etc.
With far more than 1000 parking places in the direct vicinity and an ideal connection to regional public transportation, the Bosch grounds fulfill every requirement.
In this urbane center, employees do their shopping for their daily needs, get their power in the fitness center and meet with friends after the day's work in covered inner courtyard restaurants without having to leave the Bosch grounds even once.
The Bosch grounds consist of a total of eight buildings, which are subject to protection as monuments in some cases. The generous roofs, which are of a glass-steel construction, covering the inner courtyard area allow the restaurants to use the outside areas even during seasonal transitional periods.
The final addition is the child-day-care center, which is strictly oriented on the needs of your employees with its opening hours from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the acceptance of children starting with six months old.

Office Furnishings
| Cavity floors allow a very high flexibility with respect to media networking and electrical connections. The floors are covered with high quality industrial carpet.
The offices are subdivided by system partitions. Skylights create brightness even in the corridors and thus provide a pleasant atmosphere for your office areas.
The individual offices have an area of about 23 square meters with a grid of 5.00. Individual adjustments are possible at any time.
In the office units, tea kitchens with a dishwasher and refrigeration and in some cases a freezing compartment are available.
